Additionally, we provide skilling courses in areas such as knitting, tailoring, graphic designing, embroidery, and T-shirt printing. Position Overview:
The Embroidery Digitizing Expert will be responsible for converting artwork or logos into embroidery-ready files using specialized software. The expert will work closely with the design team and production staff to ensure the highest quality embroidery output for various products, including garments and accessories.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and creative professional with a strong background in embroidery digitizing and software tools used for this purpose. They should possess excellent attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining the quality of the work. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should be able to manage multiple projects and collaborate with other teams to meet production deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Embroidery Digitizing:
- Convert customer artwork, logos, and designs into machine-readable embroidery files using embroidery digitizing software (e.g., Wilcom, Hatch, or CorelDRAW).
- Ensure designs are optimized for stitching by selecting appropriate stitch types, densities, and sizes.
- Work with production teams to test embroidery designs and adjust as needed to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
- Apply embroidery techniques to suit various fabrics and garment types, ensuring the final output is visually appealing and durable.
- Design Customization:
- Customize existing embroidery designs based on client preferences or specific product requirements.
- Collaborate with the design team to create unique, innovative embroidery designs for uniforms, corporate wear, party wear, and other garments.
- Provide expert guidance to clients and internal teams regarding embroidery techniques, colors, and effects.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct quality checks on embroidery files to ensure accuracy in color, stitching, and design.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to digitized files or machine operation and provide solutions.
- Ensure that all embroidery work meets company standards and client expectations.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of embroidery jobs.
- Advise the sales and design teams on embroidery capabilities and limitations during the product development stage.
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their design vision and provide professional recommendations.

- Training & Support:
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff and other team members on the use of embroidery digitizing software and techniques.
- Assist in developing training materials or workshops for skilling courses in embroidery and digitizing for the company’s training programs.
- Software Management:
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in embroidery digitizing software and technology.
- Maintain and update the embroidery software to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure that all digital files are properly stored and backed up for future reference.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Requirements:
- A Certificate or diploma in fashion design, textile, graphic design, or a related field.
- Certification in embroidery digitizing or completion of relevant courses in embroidery and digitizing software is an added advantage.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in embroidery digitizing software such as Wilcom, Hatch, and CorelDRAW (or similar programs).
- Strong understanding of embroidery machine operations and file formats (e.g., DST, PES, EXP, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of different stitch types, color separations, and design optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with fabric types and their impact on embroidery design (e.g., cotton, polyester, knits, etc.).
- Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in embroidery digitizing for commercial garment production.
- Proven track record in designing and digitizing embroidery files for a variety of products, including uniforms, corporate wear, and promotional items.
- Experience in leading or mentoring a team of digitizers or designers is desirable.
- Creativity & Attention to Detail:
- A creative mindset with the ability to transform concepts into detailed, high-quality embroidery designs.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring every design is optimized for both aesthetics and practicality.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to digitizing and machine operation.
- Ability to optimize designs for efficiency, reducing wastage while maintaining design integrity.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and management.
- Ability to provide clear instructions to the production team and junior staff.
- Time Management & Organization:
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining the highest quality standards.
